My Upcoming Calendar of Events

There is a LOT of things to do in Tampa Bay, and I can't list them all... nor do I share your interest in all of them.  That's why I provided the links on the side panel (menu if mobile) to Tampa Bay calendars of everything for you to find your own things to do.  But, I am providing pics of things I do find interesting as ideas and inspiration to you, as well.  I'm going to start a new thing by providing my calendar for the upcoming week, below.  Feel free to join me in any of them.  Email me at writingken@yahoo.com or message me in one of my social media apps (kenclifton00 at twitter, instagram, and or my facebook.com/kenneth.clifton account that you can friend, as well). My calendar: 11/6 - Tonight.... Ruth Eckerd Hall to see Scheherazade .. a production that features many pieces of music written by women and is conducted by an experienced and noted woman. 11/8 fitness run at Tampa Riverwalk (time to be determined) 11/10 fitness run at Al Lopez park.(time to be determin

Courtney Campbell Causeway

Connecting Tampa and Clearwater, you will find Courtney Campbell Causeway and Ben T Davis Beach.  Parking there, you can run or walk along one of the most beautiful and peaceful walking places in Tampa Bay.  You will routinely find people walking, running, or biking there.  The total cost for this wonderful experience?  90 cents paid in your parkmobile app for an hour. From scenes of sand, water, birds, and more, it is great for reminding you to slow down and appreciate life.

Tampa Theater V is for Vendetta

Tampa Theatre is a beautiful way to watch movies, which they do from time to time, along with comedy and more.  Even the bathroom is beautiful.  As an inexpensive option, it only costs 12 dollars to see.  I watched V is for Vendetta on Guy Fawkes day, Nov 5th, which is a historical day behind the mask used in the movie.  It's also where Harry Potter got the name Fawkes for the Phoenix at Hogwarts.

B&B Theaters

I didn't see a movie in B&B Theaters, yet.  However, after going to a weekly trivia or bingo night that they have there, I will.  It has an open bar and food available, upstairs where the game was held.  This was a Harry Potter bingo night.  It didn't last that long, but it was fun to do.

Armature Works

Armature Works in Tampa on downtown Riverwalk's Northern edge is a great place to get a bite or drink and walk along very pretty water.  It is a free experience, except for parking.  But, you can usually find a cheap parkmobile spot to park along the street or in their lot.

Halloween Bar Crawl DTSP

I had never done a bar crawl, even though I loved movies like The World's End (sci fi bar crawl.. you should check it out).  So, I signed up for one off the Facebook events link  I figured if nothing else I would get to know St Pete bars, and I did... very cool.  I even went to a few not on the crawl that would be nice to see, again.  Here's some highlights... This is a collage of pics from Parks and Rec, where the crawl began.  They have all kins of activities that you could do, as well as a dance floor, pool tables, and more.     At Pour Judgement, I had this shot, which was the tastiest and one of the strongest shots I had that night.  When I asked what was in it, he shrugged his shoulders, so I don't know, but it was good.   Following is another pic from there... As I made my way back towards the lower bars, I stopped in at this quant little Irish pub called Mary Margaret's Olde Irish Tavern.  It had an AWESOME Irish Wiskey and very nice Irish music singer that was

Straub Park Beetlejuice

On October 27, there was a outside showing of Beetlejuice over at Straub Park in St Pete, and I LOVED that little park after dark. It is lit up by lights in the tree and is within sight of the St Pete Pier.  The event was free with food and drink available.  However, they are done with films for the year, but they will start up again in May.

Florida Avenue Brewery

I meant to go to Florida Avenue Brewery for a Harry Potter trivia night, but as it turned out you need to get there over an hour early to get a seat.  So, I spent the rest of the night at their outside seating area, which is quite nice.  It would be a great place to talk on date or just unwind.

HCC Run

Sorry for the delay, but I am catching up on a few prior events in Tampa that I had done.  This one is my 5K that I had done at HCC.  I'm just getting back into running this year and am slow like a turtle... someone passed me pushing a stroller.. ha.  But, I got 3rd place for my age range.  As an example of inexpensive things to do, this cost me 25 dollars.
